Swiss made Glardon Vallorbe® Half Round Escapement files have square handles.
Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang. Escapement files are also called Watchmakers files.
Half Round files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point on the tip. They are cut on both sides.
Measurements given are at the thickest point.
